Visa and Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements

As non-EU citizens Australians are required to apply for a study visa prior to leaving. Applications should be made to the  Italian Embassy It is advisable to allow a long lead time for acquiring your visa since the proceedures for processing your request may take some time. Also note that changes in entry requirements can occur from time to time so it is best to consult embassy either by phone or on its website for exact requirements prior to applying.
As with many other European countries you are required to register once you have arrived. In Italy you are required to report to the Questura (police station) within 8 days of your arrival in the country.
