Funding and Fees - The Czech Republic

Funding

The best resource for Australian graduates looking for funding to travel overseas remains the Joint Academic Scholarships On-line Network (JASON).

There are some state scholarships given to international students who will undertake studies in the Czech language for the following reasons:
For excellent study results
For excellent scientific, investigative, development, artistic or other creative results that contribute to increasing knowledge
In case of hard social circumstances
In cases deserving special consideration

For further information and assistance, please contact representative offices of the Czech Republic in Australia.

Note that as a foreign student if you are enrolled in a Bachelor, Master or Doctor’s study programme and wish to extend your studies beyond the normal duration of study you are obliged, on a par with citizens of the Czech Republic, to pay the special fee charged by the higher educational institution for extension of the study period.

Fees

Students deciding to study in the Czech language study under the same conditions as domestic students. That is, there is no fee. For studies in English or any other foreign language fees are charged. There is no consistent level of fees, which can range from a few thousand Euro per year to tens of thousands of Euro per year. Please confirm all fees with your chosen institution.
