This website is dedicated to making it easier for Australians to embark on postgraduate study in Europe.
As well as providing a host of links to relevant websites in Europe and Australia ASiE also undertakes research and consultation with the EU Commission, European governments and a great number of universities and foundations. The aim is to produce and update as much as possible all information concerning grants and scholarships available to Australian students seeking to pursue doctoral studies in Europe.

Founded by Queen Victoria in 1845, Queen’s University Belfast has a long history of academic achievement. The University is situated in the leafy suburbs of south Belfast, the capital city of Northern Ireland. Queen’s University has increased its profile in research in recent years. It’s research strengths are reflected in the award of four Queen's Anniversary Prizes for Further and Higher Education – for world-class achievement in green chemistry, environmental research, palaeoecology and law. The University has approximately 18,500 undergraduate and postgraduate students, including 1200 international students from over 70 countries. The major proportion from outside the European Union come from China, Malaysia, the United States, the Indian Sub-Continent, Taiwan, the Middle East and Canada.
